Brownlow Gate is a development comprising four detached houses on the site of a former car dealership. The site is within the setting of the charming Grade II listed Little Gaddesden Lodge, which Tempietto was also responsible for repairing and converting to a dwelling. The site is also within Ringshall Conservation Area, the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the historic Ashridge Park, which is designated as being of special historic interest. The houses have been designed to be sympathetic to the character of the area and in order to create a feature of one of the garage blocks, which is prominent in views along New Road, it was designed in the form of a dovecote and is known locally as “the pagoda”.
